MYKITO SCIENCESMykito Sciences exists to unlock the industrial potential of chitosan by replacing constrained animal supply with controlled, non-animal production and material engineering.
“The molecule was always right. It was the shell that was holding it back.”
Mykito Sciences was formed in 2017 after founder Brent Chamberlain recognized that mainstream adoption was being constrained by the absence of high-purity, consistent non-animal chitosan.
The company began with the potential of fungal fermentation to create repeatable material without the beta-glucans, heavy metals and other contaminants that can complicate conventional supply.
Today, Mykito connects source platforms, molecular engineering and application-ready formats to help customers build products—not merely evaluate another raw ingredient.
The goal is simple: manufacture chitosan around the specification, not around what a crustacean shell happens to yield.
Mykito brings together deep experience in biopharma, quality, purification, fermentation, process engineering, venture building and chitosan commercialization.
